Germany has the euro (EUR, e) as its sole currency along with 24 other countries that use this common European currency. These 24 countries are: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain (official euro members which are all European Union member states) as well as Andorra, Kosovo, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino, and the Vatican which use it without having a say in Eurozone affairs and without being European Union members. One euro is divided into 100 cents. While each official euro member (as well as Monaco, San Marino and Vatican) issues its own coins with a unique obverse, the reverse, as well as all bank notes, look the same throughout the Eurozone. Every coin is legal tender in any of the Eurozone countries.
An ATM is available in the ICD, and there are others within walking distance in the town center. Please visit the Interspeech Information Desk for details.
Please be aware of the fact that credit card payment is possible in many larger hotels, restaurants, and stores, but frequently not in smaller establishments. Most widely used credit cards are MasterCard and Visa.
Interspeech 2015 Conference App
As in the past two years, Interspeech provides a conference application for smartphones and tablets. The Interspeech 2015 app, developed by the Quality
and Usability Lab at TU Berlin, Germany, provides attendees with an up-to-date technical program, access to all abstracts and papers, a personalized schedule
which can be synchronized with the smartphone calendar, search functionality including sessions, papers and authors, as well as selected general information
about the conference venue and local tourism. The app is available free of charge and supports Android (from version 4.4) and iOS (from version 7.0). Full paper
access is restricted to conference attendees.
We hope to develop the app into a community platform for use in future Interspeech and other ISCA events. With the SARA dialogue system kindly provided by the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R – A*STAR), Singapore, the app now also includes experimental speech technology. The current status of the app as well as data analyses from past Interspeech events will be presented during the Show&Tell session. You are invited to provide the team with feedback and proposals for the development into a community platform, either in person during the Show&Tell session, at the Interspeech Information Desk, or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Further information, including links to download the app for your device, can be found at: http://interspeech2015.org/app.
Please wear your conference name badge at all times. Access will not be granted without it.
Water stations are available in the entire conference area. Please help to make our conference green: re-use your water bottle by refilling it at the water stations.
